The Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square | September 12–13
One of Chester County’s most recognizable annual events returns to downtown Kennett Square. The Mushroom Festival features more than 220 vendors along with food, live music, cooking competitions, mushroom growers and exhibits, and activities for kids.
For anyone exploring Kennett Square, PA, this is one weekend that really shows off the personality of the town.
Phoenixville Film Festival | September 17–20
Head to The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville for four days celebrating independent film. The festival includes screenings, filmmaker panels, workshops, parties, and special events.
And with everything happening in downtown Phoenixville, it’s easy to turn a screening into a full evening exploring local restaurants and shops.
Chester County Art Walk | September 19
The Chester County Art Walk takes over East Goshen Township Park near West Chester, PA, from 10 AM–4 PM. More than 100 local artists will be joined by live music, food trucks, and a new beer and wine garden.
It’s an easy way to spend a September Saturday outdoors while supporting local Chester County artists.
West Chester Restaurant Festival | September 20
Come hungry to downtown West Chester. The West Chester Restaurant Festival brings together more than 65 restaurants and food trucks, local artisans, three stages of live music, and a beer and wine garden.

Warwick Fall Fest | September 26
Finish the month at Warwick County Park with pumpkin painting, wagon rides, food trucks, craft vendors, games, inflatables, and a photo booth. Admission and parking are free.
